Watercolor lends itself to the most amazing

effects, especially creating water.  It's never

the same way twice and is almost

magical how it forms on the paper.

The Ladybug's Wish

"Oh, how I wish Justa would get up enough courage to

leave his home and come up to see how big and

beautiful the world is from up here.  Somehow I have to help that

little snail .... somehow." Ruby whispered softly to herself.

Our Black Forest is burning.  My heart is breaking.  I've lived here over half

of my life, and am heartsick over the destruction and loss.

The historic homes and buildings are most likely gone.  Haven't heard

any news regarding them.  J.G. Evans Stage Stop's livery stable is
one of the historic buildings in Black Forest, and is one of the
very last of this architectural style in our state.
I'm glad I had the opportunity to paint it while it was standing.

Summer!  Lush green growing plants and

rainbows of flowers!

I started this painting quite a while ago in a
watercolor class taught by Tom Owen.  For some reason,
it recently started cropping up in my thoughts, so I  pulled
it out and finally finished it.  I like it!

We should be seeing and hearing some soon!

My most favorite bird!  I wait all winter for spring

to see their bright colors and listen to their

The Tiny Dragon

"Miniscule dragons flit among the flowers and shrubs

of my garden, napping in the honeysuckle and roses.  How I long to

earn their trust, look into their bright inquisitive eyes,

hold one, and gently caress their tiny wings."
